Originating in the Edo period as swordsmiths serving the Tsugaru domain, the Yoshizawa family has passed down its forging craftsmanship for generations.
Today, under the leadership of the eighth-generation master Yoshizawa Tsuyoshi, with guidance from his predecessor Yoshizawa Toshihisa, Nigara Hamono continues to combine traditional techniques with modern metallurgy and design aesthetics.
